Mission Statement:

The Manteca Mural Society is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation (in organization). We have partnered with the Manteca Rotary Club until our non-profit status is finalized.
Our goal is to work with the downtown business and property owners and the community to create professional public mural art for a better Manteca.

The Manteca Mural Society will use visual arts:
* to build community pride
* to build a cultural bridge between the past, present and future
* to revitalize, improve and enhance the Manteca economy
* to promote tourism

Community Benefits:

* to instill a sense of community spirit and pride in our city.
* to use professionally created murals to attract out citizens, new businesses and visitors to our downtown.
* to add interest to buildings in downtown Manteca.
* to make local history come alive in our streets.
* to provide a venue for family and community gatherings through the creation of public art.
* to set Manteca apart from other area cities.

As a "Mural" becomes a part of the community, the "Community" becomes a part of the mural.

Goals and Objectives:

To add interest and character in downtown Manteca by creating more than 30 murals of Huge, Medium, and Small proportions over the next ten years depicting our history, our heritage, our geography and our accomplishments.

GOVERNMENT - The timing of the Mural project ties into Manteca's Downtown Improvement Plan.
PRIVATE ENTERPRISE - Downtown businesses & property owners will respond through investing, improving and expanding their businesses and property as a result of the Mural Project and the downtown improvement project.
CITIZENS - Mantecans will support the downtown by investing in public art projects and by patronizing downtown businesses
